Fort Nelson First Nation Community Education Authority
Band Education programs are governed by the Fort Nelson First Nation Community Education Authority. The Authority meets every two weeks to discuss educational policy and issues. Meetings are open to the public. Current members of the CEA are:

Chalo School Parent Advisory Council
Chalo School’s Parent Advisory Council is currently inactive. If any parents are interested in forming a Parent Advisory Council this year, please contact Cory Carmichael or Colette Duperreault at the school. (250.774.7651)

What is the purpose of Advisory Councils?

  • To provide a forum for discussion regarding school activities.
  • To bring ideas, that might benefit children in the school, to the mattention of the principal.
  • To provide consultation on new programs, policies, and directions.

Who is on the Advisory Council?

  • Parents and interested members of the community.
  • The Principal of the School.

Who attends meetings?

  • Parents and Community Members.
  • A member of the Board of Education.
  • School Staff Members
